Nestled in the towering Douglas firs and on the Sandy river, Pappy's Cabin awaits you. A perfect romantic getaway to the country, this is a place to do nothing but relax to the sounds of the river rushing by.

But if you must . . .What to do first? The only limit is your imagination. The Mt. Hood national forest is  minutes away and offers a huge array of activities. For lovers of winter sports Mt. Hood Ski Bowl is only a twenty-minute drive, and continue for another fifteen minutes and you will be at the world renowned Timberline Lodge that offers skiing, snowboarding and fine dining at six thousand feet, with commanding views of Mt. Jefferson and the  painted colors of the Oregon high dessert to the south. Continue around the mountain to Mt. Hood Meadows, the largest of the three ski areas.

Summer also offers many things to do, hiking, biking, river rafting, kayaking, wind surfing, fly fishing and even summer skiing at Palmer Snow Field above Timberline Lodge.  The Resort at the Mountain (a five minute drive) has a spectacular 27 hole  golf course and tennis courts all  surrounded by mountains and tall firs and is a favorite wedding location. The choice is yours.

Spacious living area with vaulted ceiling and wood burning stove, opens out to a huge deck overlooking the Sandy river . Also included is a Bose CD/DVD virtual surround sound system, and a 20 inch flat screen television.  Fine paintings and Pendelton blankets accent the tasteful decor.

Enjoy a cup of coffee or a romantic dinner for two; fully equipped kitchen features granite countertops, tumbled stone backsplash and all new cabinets and appliances.

       Cozy Bedroom with river views has a queen-sized antique iron bed has a memory foam mattress. The room has it's own convection heater so you stay toasty- warm.

Wake up to a private  view of the river just outside.

Clean, bright and light  bathroom features a Swanstone shower, radiant heating in the floor and four-star "The Thymes" up-scale  bath amenities.

Small Wedding Packages offered: The cabin  is available for small weddings for up to 8 guests in attendance.

 Be married by the fire or on the spacious deck by the river. Have a dinner celebration at one of the fine restaurants nearby.

Bride and Groom can honeymoon at the cabin ( for two-only).

The cabin is 40 miles from PDX in  Wildwood on the Sandy River. It is set up to sleep two adults, we  have a queen futon for a third person. No smoking, no pets.

New pricing special ! $175.00 any night.  Minimum stay is two nights, or $900.00 per week, plus deposit, cleaning fee $75.00 and county tax 6% apply.

 Please add six percent to the rates for the lodging tax, a $75 cleaning fee and the refundable  security deposit of  $250.00. We accept payment by check or money order, Payment must be received no later than forty five days prior to your stay, first come first served. Although shorter term reservations will be honored if we have availability. Cancellations must be made at least thirty days in advance for full refund of your deposit, shorter notice will incur a cancellation fee (minimum $75.00) determined by length of stay and time of cancellation. Short notice dates may be available, please e mail us.

 Minimum stay is two nights.
