While an agreement had been reached between Newcastle and Reims for Ekitike, the player’s agent would have put an end to negotiations with the English club.
It is not yet known where will play Hugo Ekitike next season, but we now know a club where he will probably not play. This Thursday, Graeme Bailey announced that the young striker from Reims would not sign for Newcastle this summer. The Magpies, who have been eyeing the 20-year-old since the winter transfer window, have tried everything and even agreed with Reims for a transfer of up to 36 million euros (+ 10 bonus).
Understand that Newcastle United have pulled out of Hugo Ekitike deal.
Everything was agreed with Reims and the player’s personal terms – but the agent was demanded extra payments amongst a number of things, and the deal is now off. https://t.co/FkfzElkS1S

Paris takes control
But the British journalist reveals that the negotiations with the agent of the French international hope were unsuccessful and that no agreement was reached between the two parties. It is therefore not on the lawn of Saint-James Park that Ekitike will evolve next season, but perhaps on that of the Parc des Princes draws Bailey adds that the Paris Saint Germain is now the favorite to welcome him.

But the competition will be strong, the real Madrid as well as the Bayern Munich or Arsenal are also in the race. Anyway, the club that wants to get their hands on the new nugget of Ligue 1 will have to align themselves with the offer made by Newcastle, because the Champenois will not accept anything below the latter.
