This operation called “Perpignan in blue, white, red” is organized as part of July 14, but also to promote “the promotion of the values of the republican base”.

The City has presented its desire to create a competition for the most beautiful balcony decorated with the colors of the tricolor flag. Perpignan residents wishing to participate will decorate their balcony, terrace or exterior with blue, white and red. One requirement: these “decorations” must be visible from the public highway.
And the competition is very serious. A jury made up of assistants will elect the most beautiful blue white red exteriors. Five winners, one per sector of the city, will receive a check for €300 to spend at town center merchants and the overall winner will win €1,000.
