The national diploma exams begin this Thursday. Some students can hope to get a bonus in case of good results.

For more than 15 years, the government has promised financial aid to scholarship students in the event of a very good result in the college patent examination.

Through the “merit scholarship”, future high school students can receive up to 1,002 euros. This scholarship is awarded on the basis of the parents’ reference tax income. There are six levels and potential beneficiaries will be able to receive between 402 and 1,002 euros for the whole school year.

Are you eligible?

To receive this scholarship, one must meet the following conditions. Namely, having obtained the mention good or very good to the Brevet des collèges, commit in writing to pursuing a schooling up to the baccalaureate or the CAPand appear in the eligibility levels which are:

  • With 1 dependent child: you must not have a reference tax income greater than €19,014.
  • With 2 dependent children: you must not have a reference tax income greater than €20,475.
  • With 3 dependent children: you must not have a reference tax income of more than €23,400.
  • With 4 dependent children: you must not have a reference tax income greater than €27,057.
  • With 5 dependent children: you must not have a reference tax income greater than €30,713.
  • With 6 dependent children: you must not have a reference tax income greater than €35,102.
  • With 7 dependent children: you must not have a reference tax income greater than €39,489.
  • With more than 8 dependent children: you must not have a reference tax income greater than €43,877.

This scholarship is paid in 3 instalments: at the end of December, at the end of March and at the end of June. Attention, it can be suspended if the student is not considered to be diligent enough.
