The General Staff reacts this Thursday evening to the Russian announcement of the capture of two French Caesar guns in Ukraine.

“There is no element to confirm this information which seems very unlikely, even implausible” commented this Thursday evening the General Staff of the French Armies on the subject of the alleged capture by Russian forces of French artillery pieces in Ukraine.

During the day, information, notably confirmed by the Russian press agency CASSassured that two Caesar cannons delivered by France to Kyiv had fallen into the hands of the Kremlin armed forces.

“The staff completely denies this information” he insists. “The Russians are specialists in disinformation and manipulation of information”explains the French high command.

For him, “We have to put this in the current context of the information struggle, with a lot of false information being peddled, particularly on social networks”.
